Youth Involvement

Ways for youth to get involved

Draft Horse Clinics
A clinic is an educational opportunity for dedicated dressage riders. These clinics offer various instruction sessions, lectures, and interactive discussion. This is a great way to learn and build friendships.
GDHA Shows
All GDHA shows offer youth the opportunity to participate in youth classes. This allows them the opportunity to further educate themselves on showmanship in and out of the ring and be rewarded for their hard work and dedication.
Memorial Youth Challenge
Through a decade-long sponsorship we are able to have Perry Show’s Youth High-Point Program in memorial of Pia Johansson & Kim Smith. This program has had an immeasurable impact on young enthusiasts and encourages them to become actively involved in showing.

Engagement with the younger generation.
Through these opportunities we strive to educate the youth on draft horses, ask them to be discipline and dedicated, and inspire them to participate in our shows, all while having fun. These opportunities are for anyone below the age of 18 years old.
